It’s all about the hair for most woman.  Men generally, prefer long hair, others are partial to blondes.  Here are celebrities who aren’t afraid to kick it up a notch by changing their hairstyles.  Some have made the drastic transformation from long locks to short pixie cuts and others have gone the subtle bob route.  Some celebrities have lightened their hair while others have gone for a darker hue.  Here we have nine celebrities who dared to be different.  Let us know which style you prefer.

Ashley Simpson shocked her fans by cutting her stunning long blonde hair last year.  The result, an edgier, more modern look.  She stands out now and demands to be taken seriously.  I think she can rock pretty much any hair-do, but I like her short punk hair style for a change.  What do you think?

The famous Gwyneth bob was the haircut seen round the world.  Many emulated this edgy angular bob.  I even tried it myself to my husbands horror(like I said, men prefer long hair).  I loved the hair cut at the time but looking at the picture on the right, I think long hair suits her better.  Your opinion?

Halle Berry is one of those woman who looks better with short hair.  Although, she is gorgeous with the shoulder length locks,  with the shorter length, Halle is a true stand out.  

Katherine McPhee became a star after American Idol and since then her style has been ever evolving.  Her short sideswept cropped cut, is a bit severe and too sophisticated while the long hair, is much younger and far more flattering. 

While the short pixie Mia Farrow -do suits Michelle Williams, she is much more feminine and pretty with the long blonde hair. 

Keira Knightley is sexier with long hair.  It shows off her high cheek bones. This bob isn’t very flattering, it’s way too short and too high.  Thoughts?

They are touting Scarlett Johansson’s bob as the new “it” cut for spring/summer.  This may be the new “Rachel.”  She is one of the sexiest woman in Hollywood and would probably look hot bald.   Just saying.

Jessica Biel’s dark hair is a bit heavy and dramatic for her skin tone and colouring.  The highlights make her face look brighter and she looks younger with the lighter hair. 

Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum has completely altered her appearance by colouring her hair dark and cutting thick bangs.  Is she in the witness protection program?  She looks great both ways but I prefer the no bang look.  What do you think?
