There are so many ways to incorporate some of the hottest spring and summer trends into your wardrobe, but if you dare to be different try some of these bold new looks.
Pointy toe heels aren’t just for night time. Pair yours with cropped pants and a funky jacket to ramp up your daytime look.
Pair an envelope skirt with a tucked in tee or tank but add a utility jacket to edge up the look.
Add a bright scarf in shocking neons, or brights to any outfit to be a true standout this spring.
Another hot trend this season is print. Printed pants, shorts, tops, jackets, anything goes. You may tend to wear one print per outfit and play it safe. Step out of your comfort zone this season, and throw on a printed top with a different printed jacket. People will stop and stare but in a good way.

Yesterday we caught a glimpse into Spring with some unbelievable weather which for some may pose a clothing dilemma. Too hot for cashmere and wool but not quite warm enough for barely there clothing, this woman got it just right. Not only is she dressed appropriately for the weather, she is spot on in terms of her style. She is notorious for putting a great look together without spending a fortune. Let’s break it down;
Her suede ankle boots are by Sam Edelstein and are $100.00
The coloured jeans which are very “of-the-moment” are Rag & Bone, and are $140.00
The jean shirt, is from H&M and was only $19.99
The black scarf, $34.00 from American Apparel
The Marc Jacobs sunglasses were $125.00
And the lightweight bomber jacket is from Topshop
This Budgetista proves that you don’t have to spend a fortune to look chic.
It’s not an easy feat to look stylish in the dead of winter. When I see someone doing it well, I have to stop and ask, ”What are you wearing?” Danna Heitner, of Art & Interiors is the epitome of “winter chic.” She is wearing a touque by Theory, which works well with her long straight hair, and a Helmut Lang down coat which I am obsessed with, a pair of AG grey black skinny jeans, an Alexander Wang oversized turtleneck sweater and a pair of the best winter boots I’ve ever seen. I had Davids on speed dial the minute I found out where she bought them. They are Jimmy Choo motorcycle boots with a fur lining, and a must-have for the cold dreary months. The piece de resistance is, the infamous Proenza Schouler PS1 Mini Crossbody Satchel in black. It is the much coveted accessory of the season. Overall, a fabulous winter look.

A girl of style, Brianne shows that maxi dresses are not just for summer! Here she has paired a cotton full length dress with a cowl neck sweater worn over top, gray scarf, and has accessorized with a caramel colored belt and boots. The unexpected shade of brown adds life and creativity to the ensemble making it the perfect look for a cold winter day.
This is the perfect example of how a typical seasonal item like a cotton dress, can be transitioned into an all year round piece with the help of layering and accessorizing! What do you think?
